Felicity est un personnage très attachant, elle est franche et directe mais aussi gaffeuse. Les dialogues que les scénaristes lui ont réservés sont pour la plupart savoureux et ils expliquent en grande partie l’engouement de fans pour Miss Smoak. Puisque la VF n'est pas encore disponible, en voici un large échantillon en VO replacé dans le contexte. Enjoy !

Episode 1.03 - Lone Gunmen

Oliver se rend pour la première fois dans le bureau de Felicity chez Queen Consolidated.
Oliver : Felicity Smoak ? Hi. I'm Oliver Queen.
Felicity : Of course. I know who you are, you're Mr. Queen.
Oliver : No, Mr. Queen was my father.
Felicity : Right, but he's dead. I mean, he drowned but you didn't, which means you could come down to the I.T. Department and listen to me babble... which will end in 3...2...1.

 

Plus tard, elle lui montre les plans qu'elle a découverts dans l'ordinateur portable qu'il lui a confié.
Felicity : It looks like blueprints.
Oliver : Do you know what of ?
Felicity : The Exchange building.
Oliver : Never heard of it.
Felicity : It's where the Unidac Industry'sauction is scheduled to take place. I thought you said that was your laptop.
Oliver : Yes.
Felicity : Look, I don't want to get in the middle of some Shakespearian family drama thing.
Oliver : What ?
Felicity : Mr. Steele marrying your mom. Claudius, Gertrude... Hamlet.
Oliver : I didn't study Shakespeare at any of the four schools that I dropped out of.

Episode 1.04 - An Innocent Man

Convoquée dans le bureau de Walter, Felicity est persuadée qu'il lui a demandé de passer le voir pour la licencier...
Felicity : I've got one question. Why am I being fired ?
Walter : Miss Smoak, isn't it ?
Felicity : Yes. And I am without a doubt the single most valuable member of your technical division. That's including my so-called "supervisor." Letting me go would be a major error for this company.
Walter : I agree, which is why you're not being fired.

(...)
Walter : I was hoping you could find out some of the details of the transaction for me.
Felicity : Find out...
Walter : Dig up, discreetly.
Felicity : I'm your girl... I mean, I'm not your girl. I wasn't making a pass at you... Thank you for not firing me.

Quand elle revient plus tard lui dire ce qu'elle a découvert, elle s'embrouille avec le nom de famille de Moira, veuve de Robert Queen mais désormais épouse de Walter.
Felicity : The company Mrs. Queen … or Steele... Mrs. Queen-Steele. She hyphenate ? She seems like a woman who would hyphenate.

Episode 1.06 - Legacies

Oliver revient demander un deuxième service à Felicity.
Felicity : I should add "personal Internet researcher for Oliver Queen" to my job title. Happily, I mean.
Oliver : His name is Derek Reston. We were close before I... went away, and I want to get back in touch.
Felicity : I guess you didn't have Facebook on that island.
Diggle : Nope. Not even a MySpace account. It was a very dark time.

 

Episode 1.08 - Vendetta

Walter revient tout juste d'un 'voyage d'affaire' après avoir pris un peu de distance avec Moira quand Felicity débarque dans son bureau.
Felicity : How was your trip to Australia ? I've always wanted to go down under. It's just I have this thing about kangaroos. More of a phobia, they wig me out. They look evil, and I'm sure their picture's up on like everything everywhere in that country.
Walter : You had something important to tell me, Miss Smoak ?
Felicity : Yes, I did.

(...)
Felicity : There was something about the money transfer that felt hinky to me. The money your wife withdrew from the company, I wasn't the only one who tracked it. She was being shadowed by another entity, and whoever it is, they're good... NSA good. But, as you know, I'm good, too.

Plus tard, Walter convoque Felicity une nouvelle fois dans son bureau. Comme il lui avait demandé d'abandonner toutes recherches sur Moira, elle est persuadée que cette fois-ci, il va vraiment la licencier.
Felicity : You wanted to see me, Mr. Steele ? Did I mention, it's almost Christmas, and many of the suicides this time of year are due to sudden and unexpected joblessness?
Walter : I want you to find out all you can about that notebook.

 

Episode 1.09 - Year's End

Felicity téléphone à Walter alors qu'il est en plein dîner avec des invités.
Walter : I'm in the middle of a dinner party, Miss Smoak, so I hope this is of some importance.
Felicity : I guess that depends on how you define important. See, most people would consider finding a list of names written in subsonic ultraviolet invisible ink important.
Walter : But then I already know that, now, don't I ?
Felicity : Did you know seven of the names on the list are guys the vigilante's had in his crosshairs ? That is, if bows had crosshairs which they don't.

Oliver a une nouvelle fois fait appel à Felicity et il est content qu'elle ait réussi à trouver les renseignements dont il avait besoin.
Oliver : Felicity... You're remarkable.
Felicity : Thank you for remarking on it.
Oliver : And Merry Christmas.
Felicity : I'm Jewish.
Oliver : Happy Hanukkah.

Episode 1.11 - Trust But Verify

Oliver revient demander un nouveau service.
Felicity : And here I was beginning to think my days of being Oliver Queen's personal computer geek were coming to an end.
Oliver : Is that your way of saying you miss me?
Felicity : No. But if it works for you, go with it.

 

 

Episode 1.12 - Vertigo

Quand Oliver revient dans les bureaux de Queen Consolidated  accompagné par Diggle, il est encore sous les effets du Vertigo que lui a administré le Comte.
Felicity : You look like something the cat dragged in. Not that there are cats in this building. Well, once a cat did get in, but a guard tazed it. It smelled like fur and static in here for like a week.
Oliver : Ahem. Would you mind stepping away from the window for a moment ? I have a little bit of a hangover.
Felicity : Sounds like you need a bloody Mary and a pretzel, not the I.T. Department.

Episode 1.14 - The Odyssey

Felicity vient de découvrir Oliver, blessé à l'arrière de sa voiture (et par la même occasion, son identité secrète).
Felicity : You're bleeding.
Oliver : I don't need to be told that.
Felicity : You need a hospital.
Oliver : My... my father's old factory, in the Glades.
Felicity : No, you... you need a doctor, not a steelworker.

Elle se rend ensuite compte qu'il perd beaucoup de sang sur les sièges de sa voiture.
Felicity : Something tells me blood stains are not covered under my lease.

Diggle remercie Felicity pour l'avoir assisté dans son intervention sur Oliver. Ils prennent alors quelques minutes pour discuter.
Diggle : Thanks for your help. You kept your head on.
Felicity : Well, I always wondered how I'd react if I found my boss shot and bleeding inside my car. Not that I helped because he's my boss. I'd help anyone who was shot and... bleeding in my car.
Diggle : I was thinking all of this would be more of a shock. What, are you saying you called this all along?
Felicity : I'm not saying anything except Oliver brought me a laptop riddled with bullet holes, had me trace a black arrow, and research a company involved in armored car heists. I may be blonde, but I'm not that blonde.
Diggle : Yeah, Oliver's not too great with the cover stories.
Felicity : Neither are you.

(...)
Quand Oliver fait un arrêt cardiaque et que le matériel de réanimation a une défaillance, elle intervient en utilisant ses talents d'informaticienne.
Diggle : His heart stopped.
Felicity : I'm calling 9-1-1.
Diggle : No. Wait, you can't.
Felicity : You know how to use one of those?
Diggle : We... are about to find out.
Felicity : You didn't say clear ! I heard the charge. That's good news.
Diggle : How's that ?
Felicity : It means it might not be the machine, it could be the wiring.
Diggle : Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on !
Felicity : Try again.
Diggle : Clear... What the hell did you do?
Felicity : I've been building computers since I was seven. Wires are wires. What do we do now?
Diggle : Pray we don't have a heart attack ourselves.

Plus tard, quand Oliver est tiré d'affaire, elle ne mâche pas ses mots pour lui dire ce qu'elle pense de son matériel informatique.
Felicity : Your system looked like it was from the eighties, and not the good part of the eighties, like Madonna and, well, legwarmers.

Oliver : Then why'd you upgrade my system?
Felicity : First, because seeing a network that poorly set up hurts me in my soul. And second... I want to find Walter.

 

Episode 1.15 - Dodger

Première mission sur le terrain pour Felicity : nerveuse, elle est accompagnée par Oliver et Diggle à une exposition où un voleur renommé va s'en prendre aux bijoux de la famille Queen.
Felicity : Speaking of, have you given any thought to what might happen if this doesn't work and the Dodger absconds with your family jewels ? I'm sorry, that came out very wrong.
Oliver : Let's just keep our eyes open, Felicity.

 

Episode 1.16 - Dead To Rights

Felicity fait de l'humour sur son second prénom...
Felicity : Barerra's got cobalt-level encryption on his phone. It's not going to be easy to break but codebreaker is my middle name. Actually, it's Megan.

Plus tard, elle est très étonnée de voir le visage de Diggle se fermer quand il apprend que Deadshot est vivant car elle ne connait pas toute l'histoire...
Oliver : Lawton's alive. I'm sorry, John.
Felicity : This Lawton kick his dog or something ?
Oliver : No. He killed his brother.

Episode 1.17 - The Huntress Returns

Comme ça lui arrive souvent, Felicity ne prend pas de gants avec Oliver quand elle lui téléphone pour lui parler d'Helena Bertinelli.
Felicity : A local sporting goods store just got robbed of one high powered cross bow. Now... Could be a crazy coincidence or your psycho ex-girlfriend - Dig's words, not mine - is still in town.

 

 

Episode 1.18 - Salvation

Felicity est sous pression alors qu'elle n'arrive pas à tracer un preneur d'otage.
Felicity : This guy's definitely got more than a subscription to "Wired." His website's protected by some very serious encryption.
Oliver : Well, use that air magnet thing, you said that it could trace...
Felicity : Oliver! No offense. Do I tell you how to sharpen your arrows?

Quand un otage est tué, Felicity se sent responsable et Oliver la retrouve seule, alors qu'il pensait trouver Diggle avec elle.
Oliver : Where's Diggle?
Felicity : I asked him to leave me alone, in my loud voice.

 

Episode 1.19 - Unfinished Business

Diggle s'est procuré du Vertigo nouvelle version au marché noir pour qu'ils puissent plus facilement remonter la piste du dealer.
Felicity : Well, what are you going to do with all the Vertigo you bought?
Diggle : Plan on having a party, Felicity ?
Felicity : My only experience with drugs was an encounter with a pot brownie my freshman year … by mistake, which could have been fun, except I'm allergic to nuts.

Episode 1.20 - Home Invasion

Felicity s'inquiète d'avoir piraté une agence fédérale. Elle rappelle à Oliver qu'elle a su garder son secret et elle entend bien qu'il fasse de même avec... le sien.
Felicity : A.R.G.U.S' manhunt for Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot, so I decrypted their communication logs which means, I just hacked a federal agency which kind of makes me a cyber-terrorist, which is bad because I really don't see myself fitting in well at Guantanamo Bay.
Oliver : Don't worry, Felicity, they don't send blondes there.
Felicity : I dye it, actually. I keep your secret...

Diggle et Felicity taquinent Oliver qui a rendez-vous pour déjeuner avec Laurel.
Oliver : I've got to have lunch with Laurel.
Diggle : So when did you become, uh, lunch dates with Laurel ?
Oliver : Look, we're just... friends.
Felicity : Friends are good.
Oliver : But ?
Felicity : Couldn't you be friends with someone less complicated than your ex-girlfriend, who's your ex-best friend's current girlfriend ?

Plus tard, elle transmet à Oliver ce que Diggle lui a confié sur leur plan.
Felicity : He used a lot of military jargon. So you're sniping a sniper. Kind of ironic, don't you think ?

Episode 1.21 - The Undertaking

Comme lors de leur première rencontre, Oliver rapporte un ordinateur portable à Felicity.
Felicity : Hmm. Let me guess. Some bad guy missing his fancy new laptop.

Très contrariée que Diggle et Oliver soient en froid, elle tente une médiation.
Felicity : At the risk of ending up with an arrow in my eye, can I ask... when are you planning on making peace with Diggle ?

Pressée de révéler des renseignements à Oliver, Felicity se retrouve soudain pour la première fois nez à nez avec Laurel qui prend un café au Verdant.
Felicity : Oliver, I need to show you what... I just totally walked in on a thing, didn't I ?
Laurel : I'm sorry, uh, who are you?
Felicity : Nobody. I mean, I'm not nobody. I'm someone, obviously.

En mission sur le terrain, Felicity éclaircit une dernière fois les choses.
Felicity : Just to be clear, the plan is for me to get caught counting cards in an underground casino filled with hardened criminals.

Oliver s'assure qu'il n'arrive rien à Felicity et communique avec elle via une oreillette. Elle est très nerveuse...
Oliver : I'll be with you the entire time.
Felicity : Thanks. [Sighs] It feels really good having you inside me... And by "you," I mean your voice... And by "me," I mean my ear. I'm gonna stop talking, right now.
Oliver : That would be my preference.

Episode 1.22 - Darkness On The Edge Of Town

Oliver veut avoir une nouvelle discussion avec sa mère afin de découvrir ce qu'elle cache.
Oliver : We have to find out what this Undertaking is. I got to ask her.
Felicity : Well, no. The last time the Vigilante paid your mom a visit, you got shot, and I got to play doctor with you... Ahh! My brain thinks of the worst way to say things.

Oliver, Diggle et Felicity cherchent toujours à connaître les intentions de Malcolm.
Felicity : Well, maybe there's another way to get Merlyn to tell us.
Oliver : What do you have in mind?
Felicity : As I keep proving, people keep secrets. Computers don't.

Felicity, déguisée en livreuse du Belly Burger, vient d'apporter à Diggle un hamburger très spécial destiné au vigile de Merlyn Global.
Oliver : Mr. Andrews got his lunch?
Felicity : One belly buster with benzodiazepine. Hold the mayo.

Pour atteindre l'étage 25 de Merlyn Global, qui est à accès privé, Oliver et Felicity passent par la cage d'ascenseur et se retrouvent au bord du vide.
Oliver : Come on. Don't look down.
Felicity : Too late... I should mention, I'm afraid of heights... which I just learned.
Oliver : Hey, Felicity. Hmm? Hold on to me tight.
Felicity : I imagined you saying that under different circumstances.Very platonic... circumstances.

Episode 1.23 - Sacrifice

Felicity vient d'être arrêtée par le Détective Lance qui la conduit dans une salle d'interrogatoire.
Détective Lance : You're not exactly a hardened criminal, are you ?
Felicity : No, I'm not any kind of criminal.
Détective Lance : What do you call computer hacking ?
Felicity : A hobby ? That I do not engage in.
